Friday, May 3rd, 2013Drown into Sound, news
Wednesday, April 17th, 2013After 2 great shows of new music, we’re going to shift gears again. I am writing and demoing more uptempo tunes at the moment and even having some old friends lend a hand in the mixing and in the performance of these songs for future recordings(thanks Steve Barber and Gregg Brooks).
I’ve also been recording one of my friend’s albums. Steven Gilpin will have a 6 song EP available very soon and the entire record was recorded here in Powerlines Studio. He’s from Chicago so keep a look out for one of his sets around town.
And another cool project I’ve been working on has been with another friend who has many different monikers. Evil Analog, EA, Brad. We’re not sure how it will be billed but it will feature my vocals and some of my key arrangements in addition to his insane beats, songwriting and big production. Good deal.
Below is a demo vid of a brand new song that I wrote called ‘Drown into Sound’. Thanks for the support!! —B
Reservoir new song 2013, Brice & the Bots live 2006
Saturday, March 16th, 2013Below you will find the brand new song demo vid for “Reservoir”. You like that? Brand new song demo vid. That’s a run-on of some sort.
Also a soundcloud set of a live Brice and the Bots set from a 2006 Elbo Room (Chicago) show. I made it a free download. I would say that it is probably one of the best live recordings of the band that I’ve heard(and maybe any of my bands). And it features Jeremy Bieber on electric guitar and Adam Cisney of percussion, Moog and bells.
New Song, New Show
Friday, March 1st, 2013Hello. I decided to have some fun in the bedroom studio and debut this new song “Feed the Fiction” with a live interpretation. Imagine my friend and bandmate Sasha Geffen on some bells and synth and you’ll have what we do in our Brice and the Inklings set. We have more beats and electronics and still keep some of the organics alive to make sure we stay grounded and don’t explode. Come see us play live at Schubas here in Chicago on March 27, 2013 at 9pm where we’ll be opening for the great band Shout Out Out Out Out. More info can be found on my ‘shows’ page.
Here is ‘Feed the Fiction’.

Brice Woodall ‘Id Escaped’ for FREE!!
Monday, May 14th, 2012
Here is my last 2011 studio effort for free. Please download it and share it.
Since SXSW and our last Chicago show, I’ve been hunkering down and writing and playing Casios and learning a few new skills and pieces of gear so as to improve on the sounds that I have produced in the past. For the next few months I’ll be in my home studio demoing new songs in preparation for the next studio recording and phase in this wonderful musical journey.
